Professional development training
Early childhood education is a distinctive profession that is influenced not only by educational philosophies but also by personal life experiences and cultural trends. The classroom environment is a unique blend of what the children contribute and what the educators provide. These professional development training programs are designed to equip educators with the essential knowledge and tools necessary to implement a child-centered approach that meets the individual needs of each child.
Meet your instructor
My name is Dr. Cade. I will be your instructor. I have been a professor, professional development, and CDA instructor for over 10 years. I have also served as a childcare center director, overseeing daily operations and serving children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. I am a progressive educator and social scientist. As a scholar-practitioner, I believe it is essential to combine early childhood theory with a child-centered approach to teaching and learning. These elements are crucial for addressing the developmental needs of young children. I look forward to delving into and sharing important insights into early childhood education.
Curriculum and lesson planning
It is essential to implement a curriculum that aligns with the educational goals for children and supports their learning and development across all domains. Lesson planning and curriculum design should be based on solid research, which helps teachers identify key concepts and skills. Additionally, it should guide them in applying effective methods to promote children's learning and development.
Early childhood philosophy-Child development

Creative expression and the arts
Music and art in early childhood education emphasize exploration, play, and creative expression through various mediums, including art, music, and gross motor movement. The focus will be on integrating the whole child development approach and prioritizing child-centered learning. This professional development training will provide strategies for utilizing a range of open-ended materials that support individualized creative expression and foster critical thinking.
The overarching objective of the training is to help participants understand the concept of learning through play in relation to a music and art-based curriculum. We will review early childhood theories as they pertain to child growth and development, cultural diversity, and essential principles for teaching young children in the areas of music, movement, and visual arts.
